SLIGHT CHANGE IN PLANS

Well, I guess we can wait one more day.

The hospital just called to inform us that they have too many inductions scheduled for tomorrow, so we have been pushed back to Wednesday. It sure would have been nice if they had taken this into consideration before they scheduled us last week!

ANTICIPATION...

After a rough couple of days, Lisa had another visit to the doctor this morning. Barring any surprises, we go into the hospital next Tuesday (Nov. 1st) to be induced. It is kind of hard to believe that by this time next week we will have another baby boy.

It is kind of strange. Ethan seems so big and mature that it is hard to believe that he too was once a newborn baby, and the days and months surrounding Riley's birth almost feel like a bad dream or something that happened to someone else. God willing everything will go smoothly with Connor's delivery, and we will get to bring home a healthy baby boy in a few short days.

Cubbies

Ethan is finally getting to go to Awana Cubbies on Wednesdays.. Awana’s is a club they have for children on Wednesday night’s at our church starting at age 3...So this is Ethan’s first year. He looked like such a big boy when we took him to his class for the first time and he found his seat. The teacher bopped him in the head with a chair leg...first thing, but luckily he has a hard head and didn’t cry! He absolutely loves going....he has to learn a Bible verse for every week then he get’s to pick out a sticker after saying it. This past Wednesday Evan and I didn’t know that they weren’t having it that night and we got Ethan all excited about going....When we got there and realized that he wasn’t going to get to go we were so bummed because we know he loves it so much. He cried and cried, of course, because he was so ready to go to class. He is learning lots of new Bible songs that he sings to me during the week...it’s so cute. Ethan get’s his Cubbies vest and bag this coming Wednesday so when I get a chance I’ll post a picture with him wearing it.

EXTREME MAKEOVER: NURSERY EDITION

Well, we finally have the nursery completed. There are still a few decorations and things that Lisa wants or is hoping to get at her baby shower, but other than that I think the room is ready for Connor. We are pretty happy with the way the room turned out, so we thought we would share.

When we first decorated the room for Ethan, we went with the John Lennon animal stuff. It looked nice, but the yellow was just a little too bright. We kept the room the same for Riley, but we were planning on using a different crib. In the first progress photo I had already taken down the border we had at the top of the walls.

Let me know what you think...
